When we experience a change, we’re going through the transition state from “normal” to the new state.

Even when the goal of the change is desirable, it will be a transition. This journey is different for every group and individual, and everyone requires different degrees and types of support.

The reality of a transition is that it isn’t always clean and distinct. There may be impacts of the change that are unexpected. To add complexity, there are often multiple changes happening at the same time – so it is common to go through multiple transition states.

Watch this video to learn about:

  • How to manage the transition
  • Assessing unintended consequences of a change
  • What to do if multiple changes are happening at once (which often happens)
